Yes…not all students will need the free lunch, but one third do and the stigma of having to apply will prevent many from applying through embarrassment or shame, as any form of opting-in always does.
I really think this school board needs to be forced to go without their own lunches and see how they feel about that!

Yes, having food in your belly is such a luxury! I wonder how many of them turn down expense account meals when they are offered??
