Those darn pastors, all of them such sterling characters . . . I hope the dad doesn't get charged with assault.

It's a pity such action has to be taken in the hands of individuals in public. ...but this is because those wretched church bodies safeguard these perpetrators and justice is seldom or never done.
Let's rephrase these priests' so-calling god-calling. It's a child-molestation-paedophile-calling!. How can we think otherwise, with all that's exposed ever so often - priests and pastors sexually molesting young boys and raping underage girls, and underhand payments passed to hush their deeds and Courts ruling soft punishment because they're supposed "men of God".
Courts (was supposed to) rely on evidence still accommodate god fallacies which doesn't exist nor can evidence of such gods ever present itself in any Court of law. Courts accommodate imaginery evidence - god! We hear about the soft punishment Courts grant to these pedophiles and child molesters everytime because they're "men of god" entitled to leniency rulings 🤐

I think the soon to be former pastor is lucky that the dad didn't hurt him worse than he did.

Probably more deterrent to the priest than simply being hauled before the law and later moving on to fresh pastures.
So, good!

They were reasonably appropriate actions attacking the paedophile

@bobwjr Exactly, we need them out of society. They have deranged mindsets not fit for rehabilitation!
