The Treasury Department informed Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey 
Tuesday that he cannot use federal COVID-19 funding on education grants directed at discouraging mask mandate in schools, AP reports.
Why it matters: In a letter to Ducey, the department said Arizona was misusing the funds by utilizing them to undermine compliance with public health measures aimed at stopping the spread of the virus, per the New York Times.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Near as I can tell, Ducey is one of our selfish, tribal, shortsighted -- and frankly stupid -- Republicans in AZ. He seems to think that the vaccine will magically make COVID disappear -- so he can half-ass the rest of his/our response.
Rather we should be doing everything to stop the disease rather than hiding our eyes and hoping it goes away. We'll pay the price in AZ for the idiocy.
Here's the statement Ducey released that the vaccine is supposedly all we need.
