(Athletic competition(s) is the one area where it is difficult to argue fairness when ti comes to trans issues. Which is the primary reason why republicans harp on it so often. They very seldom have actual facts that back up a point behind one of their issues.)
After more than 10 hours of debate, the Texas House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday night requiring transgender public school athletes to compete on teams that match their birth gender, not the gender they identify with. The controversial bill, which passed with a 76-54 vote, now goes to the state Senate.
