@snytiger6 No, there are only 3 requirements to run for POTUS. "being a natural born citizen, being at least 35 years old, and having lived at least 14 years as a resident of the United States." Eugene Debbs in fact did run for POTUS once while incarcerated in a federal prison.

@Druvius The problem is that several states have laws against persons who are found guilty of crimes funning for public office. It is a hold over from the 1920's mob days. So, he could not qualify to be on the ballot in many states. If you check you history, ii believeEugene Debbs was unable to get on the ballot in several states for that reason.

@snytiger6 All of which have already been struck down as unconstitutional, or will be instantly if it comes to it, since they are just that. I'm sure a lot of people will scream and moan and do all they can to block him, but without changing the constitution, Trump is qualified to run for and take office as POTUS.
