LINK Former Democratic Senate leader Harry Reid dies at age 82 - Raw Story - Celebrating 17 Years of Independent Journalism

Harry Reid, who rose from abject poverty in rural Nevada to become Senate majority leader, died this evening at 82. While in law school at George Washington University, he supported his growing family by working full time as a U.S. Capitol Police officer.
