We are in the century of mass extinctions made worse by humans. Irrelevant what caused the climate to change, but absolutely no doubt land clearance/ habitat destruction/ degraded Earth with poisons etc has removed areas of Nth/ Sth passages which would have allowed the movement for migration of all species (Flora and Fauna) to find their new niches in the new climatic conditions.
The mass extinction will be far worse because of human activity, largely done after the industrial revolution.

We did create this problem, that's a fact. Claiming otherwise is a lie, or shockingly ignorant. The Earth's climate has been stable for about ten thousand years, it's now changing at a rate only seen once or twice in Earth's history after things like enormous asteroid/comet strikes. A thirty foot rise in sea level would be catastrophic to human civilization. The idea we should just adapt to a problem we are creating is like saying "So what if we are burning our house down, we'll adapt." Yes, but it would be VASTLY cheaper to just stop burning the house down. I'm guessing you're a right winger because of the poor logic and repeating fossil fuel industry propaganda.

@Druvius You are wrong..... every 125,000 years the ice melts. That is called science... Derived from examination of 1.5 million years of ice core samples....Please read some research about these conclusions. Lots of real science papers.

50 million years ago, there was NO ice for millions of years... Humans did not do that.

The ice caps have only been around for about 3.5 million.

Did humans accelerate the current melting? Not easy to determine when too many have already closed their minds to reality.....
