@JackPedigo Well, we could be ostracized from all our current allies, & with that, along with the anti-science movement now becoming the norm, we could slip in status & the coming isolationism & mismanagement would be the equivalent of sanctions...

And one wonders why? There is a major problem with Democrats (and the present democratic process). One is the refusal to see the population issue as being at the center of everything. Corporations fund politicians and when the population goes down they scream the world is coming to an end. Our birthrates are falling and corps. try to replace it with enlarged immigration numbers. People start to feel alienated from their own country (I actually saw that in German when the Soviet Union fell). More and more people are pissed and look to place blame. Republicans love to point fingers at others and use the divide and conquer plan. Resources are falling, inflation is rising, disasters are happening more and more and people look to find blame. Of course it is never us but them. What's the Pogo comment: "we have met the enemy and them is us." In the end it is us.
