Second marriage was a judge in Lyngby, Denmark. We were both US Army stationed in Germany. No family at either wedding. Oldest daughter had a bit fancier wedding, but it wasn't over $10,000. Second time was much cheaper. Youngest also had a simple and cheap wedding. Yeah, wedding can be crazy ass parties that suck money down a black hole.
