If we keep going the way we are we are going to have a lot of people living under bridges. The rich have no yet figured out that the more people who work and the more well paid jobs there are the richer that can get. The problem with Capitalism is that it does not take anyone to be smart to become rich, all they have to do is figure out how to make money working people for less than they produce.

@GreenAtheist Beg to differ. Many if not most homeless are mentally challenged by PTSD from war or serious mental disorders and cannot hold down a job. Then they are estranged by family support systems. So they are now living on the concrete, in the rain, in Lower Wacker Drive in Chicago. Camping under highway overpasses, culverts, in the richest country in the world where 55 companies paid no taxes but you & I did.There are few affordable living spaces in the urban areas as condos & ownership has replaced rentals, SROs, & other options. It is a crisis in LA, San Fransisco. Sanitary conditions are non existent. I sent my unused camping equipment to Tents For The Homeless & felt guilty somehow. As if I was contributing to the problem as some have eluded to on the ice fishing tents being supplied & not actually housing. We have no mental institutions for want of a better word. These fallen folks are in our prisons, hospitals, streets. Capitalism discards people without socialism to balance it.

If theyw were smart they would have built condos for all the residents and then sold them to a company and then rented them to the residents so they would have a place to live. Of course they would not be able to pay for rent but they would have had the opportunity to have a condo. We have to make the rich richer so they have the freedom to really fuck us good.

The reason is that federal monies are no longer available for sheltering people afflicted with mental illness & other ailments.That is why we have this problem. SROs were destroyed in the 1980s to make way for condos, & people were denied federal money for housing by Raygun. Nothing has been done by any administration since. 40+ years.. You are on your own hobos.

What am I to believe here? That it is OK because now the homeless will have fish to eat.
