(There have been studies that show a person who is drunk, or "on meds" has full awareness in the moment of the right or wrongness of their actions. Which is why we now hold persons accountable (criminally responsible) for what they did in drunken or med induced blackouts. I don't think they are claiming blackouts, but my point is he is responsible for his actions.)
