Ukrainian security services intercepted a phone call between a Russian soldier and his wife in which she can be heard granting him permission to rape Ukrainian women, according to an investigation by RadioFreeEurope/RadioLiberty.
The Security Service of Ukraine said it intercepted the call between the couple, who are reported to be in their 20s, earlier this month in the Kherson region of Ukraine, RFE/RL reported.
In an excerpt of the call, released by the SSU and analyzed by RFE/RL, a woman can be heard giving her husband the go-ahead to commit a war crime.
A fine example of how concerned women actually are about each other. It 'splains the female religious zealots perfectly. I think the idea that women do care about women, despite the brilliant Mdm Albright, is regularly proven to be ludicrous. Dems ought to stop appealing to the superior natures of females and start getting real about human natures. Religion has corrupted those natures into something ugly.
If this came out for an American soldier (and, I am not saying the US hasn't had its share of war crimes) the military would locate and pull that guy.
In the Russian army (and most Middle Eastern and African) this is just SOP. Though usually done before they leave or just understood. The only thing is makes unusual is the guy getting permission on a recordable communication.
