Civil wars are universal and not just in this country. When resources become harder to get, humans and non-humans start to compete and fight. Why are we, supposedly 'intelligent' humans so convinced the Earth is made of rubber (it's not) and will constantly expand to meet our needs!? This is an environmental issue and the failure to see it for what it is has turned it into a political one. With nuclear weapons on tap it could be the end of not just us but millions of other species.
