Level 9

Most people do not even know that the swastika was a form of ancient religious cross. Hitler and friends borrowed it.

I thought about mentioning it. The Nazis incorporated a lot of occult and ancient religious symbols thinking it would help their cause. That they lost, tends to support the idea that it was all just superstitious nonesense.

Level 8

A symbol needs more than just form to be meaningful. What the form is clothed in determines its meaning. So is the case, here. APEC has never endorsed Nazi sentiment so the idea that they are suddenly promoting it, covertly, is ludicrous.
