When something irks me I usually make it known. This time of year and shopping for anything that usually happens a lot. Walmart irked me a lot tonight. At checkout the 18 egg pack rang up as $5.07. I made them put it back and said that 3 days ago I was in their store and the eggs were $3.31. That's a big jump for 3 days. I also let it be known that if the egg price does not drop I can stop eating eggs.

Another deal I missed out on is the $13 to $20 toilet paper. Panic buying must have caused this. Finally I found a 4 roll pack for 98 cents. I'm not sure how that happened. Most drinks have a fair price but at another store I found a 24 pack of Monster Energy drinks for $20.99. That's not for me.

I used to love Eckridge sausage. Not any more. The casings are like rubber and the meat inside is not so good. One trusted brand still is John Morrell with food that is still priced right. As an experiment the other day I bought Campbell chicken noodle soup. Normally I buy Great Value and I'll stick with that one. Much better than the Campbell's.

I'm not a coupon clipper and I don't play that game. The fact that it even exists shows you that we are being over charged for food. The way things look that's going to continue and prices get higher. Screw those eggs. I'm back to my oat meal.

I forgot to mention my loaf of bread. The package looked normal so I bought it. Later at home I'm going to use the bread and found out the slices are not full sized. The best I can figure on this one is that the baker had dough but not enough for a full sized loaf and he baked the bread anyway. My full slices are the size of what a normal half slice would be.

Do you have an Aldi near you? I'd start shopping there if you can. Eggs are still insane, but most other items are still pretty fairly priced there.

We have an Aldi and I went there before I went to Walmart. Both these stores are about 6 miles form my small town of about 1200 or so people.

I'd be more concerned for the chicken than the consumer at five bucks for 18.

Good prices are insane. I agree with you. If something's way inflated in price? I eat something else.

Me too. The Walton clan has went insane but many today are insane. I don't dislike eggs but I eat them because my family has always eaten them. Bacon is a bit insane today also. I have food that I have bought and I end up fixing it and putting it outside for the animals. Some things being sold are not fit for human consumption. In many cases you do not know this until you try the products.
