Complaining to effect change will not accomplish anything when it comes to religion.

If you want the government to get involved then, register as a religion and petition for tax exemption on your properties. If enough people do that then the government will have no choice but to change the rules, protocols, and laws or lose the monies that come from property tax.

This is chump change compared to the people that really cheat. They followed the IRC, and while it may chap my ass that these people get something for nothing, it is the law. All non profits are entitled to benefits that seem ludicrous to outsiders, the few that violate the rules are small potatoes. The tax exemptions claimed were legal, though unethical, but what is new in the church.
