Speaking to an ex Garda, out of all the domestic disturbances that he attended alcohol was the drug of choice being used. Never marijuana. Marijuana is a relaxant, alcohol is a stimulant. It has to be legalized.

Marijuana use is hazardous for adolescents. It is strongly correlated with subsequent development of schizophrenia.

Like all drugs, legal and illegal, marijuana has both positive and negative effects.
