Being raised in various religious traditions

I'm curious to hear from those who were raised in a religious tradition other than the "big three" monotheistic religions.

Which faith was it? What are its principles? How did you come to be a non-believer? Has that teaching affected your values as an agnostic, atheist, etc.?

I was born in Muslim family,Balkans, raised as nonbeliever, and I raised my children as freethinkers. Yes...my up-bring,and my communist father made a big difference in who I am today.

I was raised in the traditional Native American tradition. The beliefs if nature and spirits. I soon found out that peyote isnt the way.
