We all know that is crap, but many people lack critical thinking skills, so they are gullible to all that phony talk about morality from Repubs. To entitled, privileged rich brats like Trump, the rules are only for other people who aren't like him, suckers, slobs, etc., who don't have or deserve his status. He laughs at people who take any rules seriously, sees them as naive and stupid. At his age, going to prison and doing real time, would never improve his character, but it would rub some of that arrogance off of him, from finally getting caught at and punished for something..

Well duh... In my experience, by the time someone gets out of college, if not before then, their character is already pretty much set for life, so who they are back then will tell you everything you need to know about who they are now, and have always been... I have seen very few people change over their life, as far as their character, between their 20s and their middle aged selves. Changing in other ways, sure, but not as far as their character... And that is also why, at least for me as a voter, I want to know about someone's past behavior, going back to their young adult days, esp. if they have never run for office before, because I want to have some idea about their character as a private citizen first, before I trust them with the power of elected office.
