My new dentist is a cunning one.

He didnt tell me until I was in the chair that we were doing a root canal today. He said he knew I'd try to put it off if I knew. He's very correct. I've never had a root canal before, and I'm already terrified of dentists.

He also bought a special tool so I could bite as much and as hard as I needed without biting him or the tools and he could still work on my teeth while I bite.

It took almost 3 hours, because he gave me lots of breaks and stretching time. He works really hard to make it as easy and comfortable for my special needs, which I appreciate. The dental hygienist was very kind too, saying I'm prettier than Scarlett Johansson (an insult because that woman is my dream lol) and tapping on me all over whenever needles appeared to distract me.

I had to forgo the nitrous because it's too expensive, so they took it nice and slow, and let me wiggle and twitch as much as I needed, as well as sit at awkward angles to keep myself from spasming out.

It was my front tooth I had a root canal on, so I feel like elvis if elvis had a cleft lip repair.

One down, two to go with root canals, then we replace all 26 fillings

Good job taking that on.
What dental insurance do you have to cover that much expense? Mine has an annual $1400 max.

I have delta dental with a 2000 dollar max, but they cover like 80% of it, so I still had to pay 160 dollars for each visit
