@Insectra I didn't find out which one of the 8,000 this one is.

@Insectra Butternut woolyworm, Eriocampa juglandis, a type of sawfly that is found across the Northeastern United States and Southern Canada.

Auburn, AL 1974: infestation occurred on black walnut and butternut.

They're much more interesting looking as larvae.
