So I am getting used to seeing posts of snakes as they frighten me. I have lived where rattlesnakes were common and I could not tell the difference as my eyesight was not that great. Anyway, are snakes at all responsive to humans, like do they like to cuddle or just hang around their people?

@AmiSue I would think they are like us without any of the evolution past the reptile stage. They can still be neat and fun to have as companions. I got a post from a lady in Australia who had a picture of the neighborhood python, at first all I could do was think of finding it coming after me, then in reading the post I read that it kept the rat and other varmint critters down. Then I almost wished that we had one as being a port city we have wharf rats large than the normal rat and a lot nastier. Would be nice to not have to trap them.
@dalefvictor, yes, that was me, i think. i respect the python in not stepping on her, & she accepts that i live in her territory.
@walklightly I like to think that if I knew it was around and not harmful that I could live quite comfortably around it. Still afraid of snakes but I am learning to get past it.
