Update on Mazie:
Vet said she has an upper respiratory infection that's likely what's making her not want to eat. Her liver and thyroid levels are normal, but her kidneys show a bit of abnormality, although it's likely just because she was dehydrated. Her blood shows a higher white blood cell count which means that she is fighting infection. She's on antibiotics and, while still pretty lethargic, she seems more alert. I did get her to eat a bit of ham flavored baby food, which is great.
Thanks for all the support and suggestions! I love my Mazie girl!
Glad it's nothing chronic. As soon as she's hydrated and the infection clears, then it sounds like she'll be back to normal. Keep us posted.
At least it's something treatable. Glad she seems to be coming around, & in another day or two, there should hopefully be a bigger change.

Posted by LaurenIt's my first grand's fifth Gotcha Day and this is her in the arms of my daughter as they drove home.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
