I didn't want to have children (I won't go into the reasoning), so I have cats.
I have human kids, and they're awesome but I recognize they are not for everyone. I have almost always had a cat, and I tell everyone they are my fur children. They never ask for the car keys, will never need braces, and won't go to college. In fact, a potential relationship interest cooled off when I let him know cats ARE my kids and I will always have cats. Love me, love my cat. Simple as that.
Much better than kids. No bail, no college, no car.
Yea, but there can be vet Bill's. They are almost as expensive as people. Does not matter if they need the care they get it.

Posted by LaurenI thought this was an accurate representation of how we feel every time we remember our last cat, which happens often when my daughter and I laugh over our current cat's antics.
