I've noticed a theme with cats and laundry. Who even has to wait for the laundry to get folded. Go right to the source.

Exactly, mine too.
Our vet has told us some very sad stories.
@bigpawbullets So little effort to stay safe.
My grammie had a neighbor who "accidentally" ran the dryer while the cat was in it. He came out of there the meanest cat on the block. Dogs were scared of him. Got his ears and whiskers burnt off. He was one tough kitty.
