My Zoe keeps running out into the hallway. She is obsessed with exploring the hall. A couple of times I left in a hurry, not bothering to look down at the floor. She snuck out. I went out for brunch, came back 3 hours later to find her sleeping in front of my door. The desk attendant on first floor said "Do you have a cat?" when I came in the front door .... embarrassing. Now I try to be careful whenever I leave to make sure there is no escaping cat.
I have a special maneuver when I open my front door. It involves flinging the door open with my right hand and kicking sideways with my left leg and yelling Get Back!. Its the only way to keep my two from darting out. Fortunately I come and go through the garage, and they are still afraid of the big, noisy door.
I have a pinhead... I mean young female kitty who thinks the garage is the place to be. Now when I park in the garage I make sure the big door is down before I open the door to the house. She is a fast and sneaky little twit.

Posted by LaurenI thought this was an accurate representation of how we feel every time we remember our last cat, which happens often when my daughter and I laugh over our current cat's antics.
