Way back when I was a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) sometimes I'd nap when the kids were at school. I'd have a cat in front of me and the dog (golden retriever) behind. And when I'd sleep I'd dream I heard the doorbell. If the dog was still in bed with me, and the cat was still asleep I'd know it was only a dream. If the doorbell really rang the cat would hide and the dog would be waiting eagerly for me to open the door so he could meet his newest friend.
Works for me . I had several guests coming , and we were waiting to the last lady , in the media room . I told my earliest guests . she had arrived . They said they hadn't heard anything . I said the cats had told me . A couple of moments later she knocked on the front door . Both of my cats had perked up and their heads had turned to face the door.

Posted by LaurenIt's my first grand's fifth Gotcha Day and this is her in the arms of my daughter as they drove home.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
