My lady friend found an abandoned newborn last week. She’s been doing a wonderful job bottle feeding and otherwise caring for the little beast. Well, yesterday, somebody’s eyes opened.

Rub that tummy. It instills them to defecate & gets that digestion going. Good karma. Perhaps the mother was moving her kittens. They rarely abandoned contrary to myth.

She waited over an hour for mother to return, but it didn’t happen. Kitten was still partly covered in the placenta, and was getting cold. It became more dangerous to leave it behind than to take it.
