Just goes to show that we as a society have a lot of waking up to do that people would get so upset about a protestor, but ignore Nike's near slaving practices. Fuck the racists, and fuck Nike. Boycott those shoes, but do it for the right reasons, please.

@taichifan, you are correct. And that's why they say 'there is no ethical consumption under capitalism'. But it's a bit different with an expensive luxury item. Boycotting Nike is as simple as buying shoes (for less money) from a different company. It won't make things better by magic, but it's so painless an exercise, it seems pointless to me not to do so. Obviously, we can't just boycott the entire imperialist system, but we should still do what we can not to give it extra feed.
