I think that the white women in question might be suspicious that the post could be used to undermine feminism itself , as being a movement that continually serves the interests of privileged white women , over people of color . I do have a small point In 1920 briitish women campaigned for and got suffrage- but the amount they suffered and died for that for was probably helpful to other causes it sounds like they went to hell and back and emily dickinson died for it throwing herself in the path of the King's horse at the racetrack ,and the health of all the others was severely compromised by the 'cat and mouse act' where they were let out of prison before they died of hunger strike and then pulled back in again when they got stronger, for it all to happen again and again

Suppression of the right to vote for anyone other than privileged, usually white people is still going on. The USA has no right to claim to be a democracy.
