A very pretty shot from my jog/walk/jog etc session this morning. My new shoes do seem to help the knees! If you look closely you’ll see the street I am on turn into a dirt street at the bottom of the hill. These are old streets that were substandard when the city of Omaha annexed this subdivision decades ago. ( my house is close by and was built in 1949). There was an article in the New York Times about this a year or so ago.
Oh, good for you for getting new shoes! I thought it might be the culprit...I know that my knees are the first to speak when I need them!
Thanks for sharing a lovely view...it makes the walking/running so much more enjoyable to see things all around our daily routines...lots of beautiful mature trees in older neighborhoods...and the street...reminds me of my childhood street...no asphalt! ha ha Take care of yourself and have a lovely day!
@thinktwice My neighborhood is very pretty. It is also very hilly! Most people think of Nebraska as very flat, but Omaha is very hilly in places. Go west 50 miles, and it is mostly flat... But there be hills here! It makes the morning exercise interesting!

Posted by SilviaParkI had my first triathlon in Sunday, an indoor USATri60. Lots of room for improvement, but I'm just a beginner swimmer, and haven't taken my bike on the road yet :)
