I tried that and a butt load of other options, sometimes you don't get a happy life, I'm at peace with this.

@MsKathleen Sure, it's my fault that I'm only happy when I'm sad and alone.
@Willow_Wisp say what? I think the quote reflects the Buddhist philosophy of allowing, acceptance, and contentment. But not being Buddhist, I can see how some lives might never allow for any of it.
@MsKathleen Something in my nature keeps me hurting over things that happened long ago with people that no longer live. Some of those emotions are 60 years old and there seems to be no recovery.
@Willow_Wisp I hope you are soon able to reconcile those feelings. Life really is better when we choose to let go of that over which we have no control.
@MsKathleen I find it amusing that most people think we have control.
@Willow_Wisp I think that control is earned one minute at a time.
I've gotten extremely fat during the covid quarantine so I need to follow my own advice.
@Willow_Wisp that is where the allowing, accepting, and being content comes in.
