Curious what people think about this recently released graphic. Is there bias in the bias chart? Where do you trust your news from?
Also, where are the ever growing internet-only news organizations, such as the Young Turks, SecularTalk, David Pakman, etc?

I love visual data and think the chart is accurate at least for what I know of the news sources. I have been listening to less news lately and get it primarily from BBC and NPR. Most of the other sources are redundant and I find the BBC to be quickest even on American news. The other occasional news sources I use are almost entirely in the green box, which makes sense. I am less interested in opinion than I am in basic facts. The only thing I read with any regularity below the green is The New Yorker, but it is not just about news.

@Humanistheathen It is a biased rag, and I have on occasion detected outright errors, but I enjoy the quality of the writing. I probably would not rely on it as a source of hard fact for anything important.

I'd probably read The Economist more if they'd stick a picture or two in there. ;^)

This chart, or at least a version of it, has been around for some time. It does serve to provide perspective on news source for those who are unfamiliar with which way sources tend to "lean." The question remains, how should this information be interpreted? Is a "balanced" source, one that's in the upper middle, the best?

Well lookslike a set of goal posts with a ball ready to kick through and see what we can do. So, let's kick it.
