Pruning some downed cherry limbs and removing one ornamental crab apple tree after a pretty good squall line went through. I saved a few chunks, ran them through my table saw... and slathered boiled linseed oil on them to cure. Hopefully there will be some good wood turning blanks in there. The remainder went into the neighbor's wood pile.

Do you use the slabs (on the bottom of the stacks) for anything?

Yes. Great figured grain for fountain pens, etc....
Knife handles. Pistol grips.

Turning fountain pens, rollarball pens & mechanical pencils. Cigar tubes. Vases. Fishing lures.....
