Very fortunate timing for sure. Wish we would get some good rain here in Northern California! Dry as a bone and I am watering the plants by hand. . What are you planting?
Tomatoes, peppers, okra, pumpkins,gourds, whatever strikes Linda's fancy.
Putting in a groundcover Raspberry patch & some Gogi Berry plants too.
@bigpawbullets Sounds like a big and fun production! I’m going to try some things here at my sisters, but need to enhance the soil and water it first. Some of the yard is like cement! I’ll look forward to your pics!
That's about ⅕ of our annual rainfall!
Today. My raingauge registered 3.01" since midnight. And it's going to rain again here in about 30 minutes.
@bigpawbullets Got the ark built & ready to go?
@FrayedBear
The sump pump in the basement has been running pretty regularly this evening. I did break out the snorkeling gear.
@bigpawbullets do you flood regularly?
@FrayedBear
Me personally? Or our house?
No Bear. No flooding here at our home. Our place is at the top of the hill here. We do get minor river/creek overflows in the spring. All homes here with a section below ground level (like ours) have sump pump wells to keep the excessive runoff from seeping into the houses. But yes. We do have the potential for major flooding in the Miami Valley. It's rare.
@FrayedBear
An example of our weather here:
Yesterday: 3+ inches of rain in 24 hours. 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Today: bright and sunny, temperatures in the 60s. Winds gusting to 40+ mph. Frost warnings for tonight with lows predicted to be in the mid to low 30s.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
