Ponds froze last nite 27°F Iowa freeze turns flowers black dead
Glenn you are one cunning romantic playing the lotus flower card at these innocents.
Keep posting these gambolling tips.
Pretty, pretty.
I had a fountain in my back garden. It attracted too many undesirable desert denizens, so I gave it away.
I like the pink. hope your blue ones show up soon!!
The damned raccoon keeps getting in the pond and shredding the new growth. I've done everything but set out leg traps around the pond. Spikes, extra water, live traps.
The red ones are pretty, but not what I've ordered. Since it can take months before you discover you got the wrong thing, I just live with it.
@glennlab those dang raccoons can sure destroy things! Have you tried Cayenne pepper sprinkled around the pond? That worked for me in Nebraska with squirrels.
@Redheadedgammy I haven't tried that yet, but I'll experiment with it tonight. This raccoon is the size of a pit bull. The small live traps were way too small. I had forgotten about the pepper, though I recommend it quite often.
@glennlab I would go to Costco and buy the biggest jar they have and use it liberally around the areas the squirrels were digging in and it worked!
@Redheadedgammy I already spread it out, I used about half a 16 ounce container, If it works, I'll keep a couple of container for after the rain.
@Redheadedgammy sàmS clubS have cafe sized supplies of red hot pepper & cayenne grounds

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
