Yikes! I had to take cover, get out of the garden today. On antibiotics and the strong sunshine started to burn
So much to do...
I avoid the sun as much as possible, I burn even through a tan, I've learned to stay covered up outside even on cloudy days. Never been a ginger but, I had a red beard and ginger highlights in my hair. Mostly grey now but that change didn't stop the burning.
I was out briefly helping a gal load some stuff in her car. Too humid out there for me. And then yes, the sun is an issue for me. I have about 15 to 20 seconds to lobster stage.
I take it a side effect of the antibiotics is photo sensitivity.
More the drugs that end in -mycin, like Erythromycin, Streptomycin and other Penicillin alternatives
I use a Ranchero hat that I picked up from Mexico 4.5 wide brim and the weave breathes while blocking out the sun, works like a charm.
@AmiSue I should have bought more since it only cost me $7 but it was the only one.
I always wear SPF clothes. I burn too fast lol
I can look at a painting of a sunset and burn...I'm a ginger

Posted by ZsterI live in a very hard clay soil area and routinely time my ground work around softening rains.
Posted by LorajayMany of my shrubs look like they may not make it after our 12 days of extreme freezing weather but my Chinese quince is prettier than it's ever been. Perhaps it would prefer a colder climate.
