They work something like a food pyramid, I think. Neat idea and very ascetic.

You can get a sealer paint that is used for sealing gutters but it is pretty expensive, cheap just to line each drawer with a clear garbage bag and punch a hole in each corner to let the water continue down to the next level. A decent alkyd paint would give enough protection for a season or two, marine paint would last even longer. Check the mistints shelf at the building supply store and see if you can score a deal, the dresser drawers you should be able to pick up at the Habitat for Humanity Store or one of the charity stores.

@Sheannutt No plants at all or just on the balcony? These restrictions are getting to be insane.

@Sheannutt That must be hard. Do you have parks and gardens nearby or a community garden?

That looks pretty cool but don’t think they would last every long. Getting wet.

I like it! Think I'd build it from cedar though.

@Sheannutt
I'm pretty frugal. If a dresser is falling apart, I re-build it. 😉

@Sheannutt
Dressers and NCR mahogany cash register base all re-built and refinished by me. Every one was $5.00 or less at auctions.

@Sheannutt
Thanks. Can't picture pulling the drawers and filling with dirt....
😉

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
