Someone was asking about patios.
This is one of mine. Dug and set it myself 15 years ago. Only has a 2 inch sand underlayer. It has barely heaved or shifted over the years. Bluestone.
Yeah, I put up the fence as well - badly. But it serves it's purpose.

Lots of people talk about doing something similar by themselves, it's just talk though, you actually did it. Kudos to you, it looks very nice.

@AmiSue If you are talented enough but not everyone is. I often have people comment on my work as a master builder with over 30 years of experience and they feel qualified to give me advice even though they have never built so much as a dog house but they do watch some of the DIY shows on TV. lol I just smile and nod.

@AmiSue You can learn skills but you either have the passion or you don't.
