Were those chips treated for termites?
No these a fresh chips in spect my place for termites at least once a year. I use to do that for a living
I hadn't thought about termites, though I did receive a truck load of mulch that was loaded with TICKS!
That was a real horror show!
@Leafhead
Yikes! Sounds awful. Natural compost/mulch is by definition the home of some interesting critters actively involved in the decomposition process...and their friends.... like ticks.
@bigpawbullets
Yeah. Not only was my dog infested, but my house too! I had the gross little bastards crawling along baseboards in every room of the house. I WAS LOSING MY MIND!!!!!
Two pounds of DE and a face mask took care of the problem, pesticide free.
Is your house up on little stilts?
It’s a manufactured home. I got the land and the home really cheap it was a fixer upper. I’m still working on it
@Donto101 oh, I thought you were going to say something about flooding or groudwater were you live.
@CraeftSmith we do have a lot of flooding that’s why I’m digging ditches and drainage ponds
spreading wood chips can be tough work, you did a good job!
