I have never grown carrots. Are they very hard to grow?

I grew carrots for the first time this year. It took over 6 weeks for them to sprout?? Is that normal?? And they sprouted as if rain had washed all the seed together into 4-5 clumps instead of being evenly distributed. Hmmm
@farmboy2017 , it's normal. The big thing is thinning them out. And they have to be thin! That's what caused the porn ones in the photos.
Not that there's anything wrong with that : )
