I think the one on the left is Evening primrose. If so, it’s Medicinal as well as lovely ?

Justjoni Level 7 July 7, 2018

@egyptrican Pretty certain that’s evening primrose ?

Pretty, but no idea. I did think the forst might be Buttercup, but am not flower expert.

MissKathleen Level 9 July 7, 2018

@egyptrican ?

Not sure what the first one is but the second one is coreopsis, also called tickseed. It is a good perennial.

@egyptrican I was looking on Google at yellow perennial flowers but couldn't find one who's leaves looked exactly like those. And, you're welcome.

@egyptrican What's nice is that perennials needn't be replanted every year or two. Once tey are planted, they'll come up on their own every year if the winters haven't been too harsh and frozen the roots. There are even perennials, like peonies, that need that extra bit of coldness to develop new roots and flowers. I've always loved plants and used to have quite a bit of houseplants but I stick to outdoor plants now because of my cat. I've also owned and operated a landscaping company with my late husband here on the coast of N.C and in Florida. I took the Master Gardeners course offered by the local county extension offices. And, I have an extensive library of plants, shrubs and trees books.

@egyptrican Any time. I may be able to help and I may not. But, I'll sure try.

They're delightful! Are the ones on the left large buttercups?

So, are you going to leave us hanging or are you going to tell us what we are looking at? Love the darker yellows.

AstralSmoke Level 8 July 7, 2018

@egyptrican You had eluded to having 'adopted' them. I'm just giving you a hard time. I'm not sure what they are either, but I'm sure there are some people here that do. You just have to ask nicely.

@egyptrican Nope, I think it worked!

@egyptrican But playing dumb won't always work!

@egyptrican I guess I don't get the opportunity so often smile009.gif

Wonderful, so cheerful!
