I'm surprised no one has asked about the really green ones on the top shelf
@SkotlandSkye That is no help to me. I don't know what bread 'n butter pickles are. I'll have to look them up. I did wonder about the colour of the top shelf but assumed they were cucumbers. So what are they?
@CeliaVL they are "Lime" pickles ...made with lime, the mineral, not the fruit
BreadNButter pickels got their name because during the Great Depression, they were a cheap staple in households. So people used them in sandwiches of bread and butter because that's all they could afford.
