Update on the Garden, Getting the rain now, so the plants should be ok for a while, I did pick green beans yesterday evening when the shade fell over the garden, I'm holding off on the trip to the garden, till later. I also got my first red tomato and I picked a green one to have fried green tomatoes today. for lunch. Happy day the Kingdom is saved.

I love green beans, we used to grow a crap ton when I was a kid. I remember sitting by the garden and snapping them prior to taking them in for cooking.

Do you ever have any luck with cauliflower or broccoli? Back when we had a spring season mine did very well. But after we went straight to summer it became to hot for them.

Nice! I'm out of beans....canned them all. About 5 lbs. total was all there were.

@kenriley I'm thinking about replanting.... 🙂

@SkotlandSkye Mine failed. Then I replanted and that failed. Then... I tried germination indoors and that was a waste of time. I must have bad seed or it's just too hot??

@farmboy2017 Yeah...the heat is why I haven't replanted. It's 107 out there right now. I'm already watering 2x a day what's left. Mother Nature is not helping. Last year, we had a good soaking rain every week. This year, it's a freakin' drought.

@SkotlandSkye True, it is a major drought but at least it's not like 2011. You guys got hammered. What was it? 68 straight days of triple digit temps!!

@farmboy2017 yes....there is even a Wiki Page about it! [en.wikipedia.org]

@SkotlandSkye You need some drip irrigation ?

@farmboy2017 I know, right? I totally agree. I have plans.....

@SkotlandSkye ?Very good!!

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
