Being in a hot climate what do you plan to grow? In our area tomatoes can sometimes be iffy. Many hoop houses are used for that and Basil.

I have my tropical fruit trees in it. And my young potted seedlings. Before moving them out to their permanent planting locations. You should try Everglades tomatoes during the hires part of summer. They seem to thrive in the heat.

@Donto101 We have a lot of tomatoes that grow well with just a slight heat boost. My late partner loved tomatoes and every year we built a hoop house (and every winter it got blown down). I have had to reduce my gardening since she died. We just bu9ilt a high tunnel hoop house on a friends property (26W x 72L X 12/16'H). It was supposed to be for a small community. It is now growing weeds and pot.

Looks great. However, it would not hold up to the winds here.

Yeah if I had a pipe bender I would have used steel pipe. But I believe it will hold up. We will what happens with the next big storm.

@Donto101 The direction of the greenhouse could be a factor. If there is a prevailing wind the way the house faces could reduce it's vulnerability.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
