I harvested a bunch of Romaine and a few beets today. If y’all were nearby, I’d share leafy greens, as I have plenty. Yuma is in for three nights of thirty degree weather. I’ve put plastic over the AgCloth and the tomatoes...and am hoping for the best. Not really concerned about the beets, leeks, or sweet potatoes. The peppers have me a little worried..they already had been slow growing with the forty degree nights. I think the Jalapeños look okay, but the red and orange bell peppers are tiny and vulnerable. Ah well, que sera, sera...

Love beets! And your romaine has no problems. ?
I would like to grow some veggies one day. Right now I hold myself for simple amateur edible garden, such as peppers, rosemary, green onions, sugar cane, lemongrass... I get thrilled with whatever volunteers to grow. ? I have had mustard, watermelon, tomatoes cantaloupe and actually a lemon tree.

Put a solid barrier around your garden and park 2 big fans with heaters in front in the gates to keep warm air blowing into your garden

I so envy you being able to grow your own fresh veggies....I don't have near enough sun where I am and the soil seems to be extremely alkaline so I'm fighting a losing battle. That is the only thing I miss about living further south - the long growing season!!!
