Yes should make for more potent compost
@Donto101 I want guineas for my land. Maybe they'd serve a similar purpose.
@farmboy2017 I have guineas now. I find their greatest purpose is being watchdogs
@Donto101 That's what I hear. Can they keep racoons away from the chickens?
@farmboy2017 funny you should ask that question last night just after dark the guineas start making a hell of a racket so I went to the back door and hit the lights just in time to see a raccoon running away from the pen. All of the flock was fine. So I guess in that instance they did. But if it was really hungry I don’t think they would be that much of a deterrent. I have seen them chase off snakes at least three times.
@Donto101 I have lots of King snakes so that's encouraging to hear!
