My seed trays are on the patio to take advantage of the heat from the concrete, we will probably get one more freeze, so I'm not taking any chances.

Nothing sprouting for at least another 12 days or so. I need to start a tray of Basil today.

I'll most likely seed a starter tray this evening. Heirloom Brandywines!

@sweetcharlotte As I understand heirloom varieties, they are not bred for uniformity like the hybrid varieties we find at the store. That's the quick answer.

I'm jealous. I can't start indoors, not enough natural light and cats. No place to put them to keep the cats away.

Yeah. The "boys" are gardeners here. Usually a Cat vs Hooman battle.
