Last spring my begonias had a Pine Siskin nest in them. She raised two broods there. I've moved but I will put out the begonias again and hope some little lady will like it.

This is the nest and eggs in my begonias and the newly hatched chicks. The Pine Siskin pic is a stock photo.

Bird build a nest and hatch her eggs in a hanging planter I'd put up , but sadly , my cat considered them prey .

That is very cool. We have an owl nesting near our home. She talks a lot at night.

I bought nine acres of land in the countryside of Chapel Hill, NC. I was awakened around 2:00 one morning with banshees around my bedroom windows. I found out they were a pair of screeching owls. A little unnerving when you are alone out in the country. I had a lot of owls around the property and almost every morning I awoke to find an owl pellet on my balcony or just below it. Birds of prey are really interesting.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
