My first rose of the season, brought indoors to open so it would not be battered by yesterday‘s rain. When I got this place 12 years ago I had to move a berm of lawn debris from the back of my property. Within a full shovel, I saw a tiny root which had forced a rose leaf while buried, and planted my beautiful survivor – if you could only smell it !
